Circular retro-reflective reference markers for marker-based handheld laser and structured-light 3D scanners, and for photogrammetry. The bright center reflects the scanner's light straight back to the cameras, while the black ring gives a crisp edge so the software can locate each dot precisely.
Stick the dots on the part (or on the surface around it) in a random, non-repeating pattern. The scanner uses them to track its position, which keeps large or featureless surfaces aligned.
Two materials are available. Economy markers are printed on plastic film and are great value for everyday flat parts. Premium paper markers reflect more strongly, conform better to curved surfaces and peel off easily after scanning — the better choice for curved or complex parts and whenever you want the most reliable tracking.
Choose 3 mm for small parts and close-range scanning, 6 mm for most handheld scanners, and 12 mm for large objects scanned from further away. Always follow your scanner manufacturer's recommendation.
