What size marker dots should I buy?
6 mm inner diameter dots suit most handheld laser and structured-light scanners. Use 3 mm dots for small parts and close-range scanning, and 12 mm dots for large objects scanned from further away. Your scanner manual gives the recommended size.
Will these markers work with my scanner?
They are standard circular retro-reflective targets (white center, black ring) and work with most marker-based handheld scanners and photogrammetry software. If your scanner requires coded targets or a specific size, contact us before ordering.
How many dots do I need per scan?
It depends on the size of the part. Scanners typically need several markers in view at all times, placed in a random pattern on flat and gently curved areas. A pack of 500 covers many small and medium scans.
What is the difference between adhesive and magnetic dots?
Adhesive dots are single use and stick to almost any surface. Magnetic dots only hold on steel or iron, leave no residue and can be reused many times.
Paper or plastic marker dots — which should I choose?
Plastic dots are the economical choice for flat surfaces. Paper dots cost more but reflect more strongly, sit flatter on curved surfaces and peel off more easily after scanning.
When are marker spheres or towers better than dots?
When you cannot or do not want to put dots on the part — finished surfaces, small parts, or when the part has to be flipped and scanned from all sides. The spheres and towers carry the markers around the object instead.
Where do you ship from and how long does delivery take?
Orders ship from Yangzhou, China within 1–2 business days. Typical international delivery is 7–20 business days, and you receive a tracking number by email.
How do I track my order?
Open Track your order (link at the top and bottom of every page) and enter the email you paid with plus your order number, which is shown after checkout, or the PayPal transaction ID from your PayPal receipt. No account is needed.
How much is shipping?
A flat $8.90 per order worldwide, and free on orders over $69.
Will I have to pay import duties?
Prices do not include import duties or taxes. Depending on your country and order value, your carrier may collect these on delivery.
How do I pay?
Checkout uses PayPal. You can pay with your PayPal balance or with a credit or debit card without creating a PayPal account.
Can you make custom marker fixtures or bulk orders?
Yes. We can make marker blocks and fixtures in other shapes and supply larger quantities. Send us the details through the contact page.
